About "Feature"

"Feature" is a short article collection and display platform hosted by the Vanilla Library team and developed for vanilla mod (data pack + resource pack). It is used for communication between developers and is updated monthly.

Because the large tutorial contains a lot of content and takes a long time, I hope to open a submission window to accept submissions of short articles. After review, they will be published to the library as a weekly website on a monthly basis. Short articles can provide concise opinions or give some experience in writing code. Short articles are formed quickly, and weekly has relatively free discussion space, which can be regarded as a good way to communicate within the circle) ——issue#5

The types of submissions we want

Submissions must be related to MCvanilla development, and there is no limit to the type. The following are possible submission types:

  • Instance-based data pack parsing
  • Research and practical applications on some characteristics of vanilla
  • Research on new snapshot features
  • Experience in data pack debugging and performance optimization
  • Display and release of small works

Submission form

We accept submissions of all types. It can be an original article, a link to an article posted on various blogs or forums, or a video, etc. You can send the following information containing the content of your submission to 1703467028@qq.com via email:

  • The main content of the submission must indicate the link to the article or video, or send the original text as an attachment;
  • Manuscript title;
  • Abstract (optional but recommended): describe the main content of the submission in brief text;
    • If the contributor does not provide an abstract, the editor will write an abstract himself when the paper is accepted.
  • Header image (optional but recommended): An image used at the beginning of the document.
    • Beautiful pictures can attract readers' interest in reading, and articles that provide header pictures are more likely to be selected as cover articles.
  • Video material or material link (optional but recommended): as peripheral material, used to promote the video.
    • Editors do not have much time to experience the submitted content in detail. Providing a video material of about 15 seconds can greatly facilitate the energy spent in video editing.
  • The author's signature and (optional) social media account link are used to mark the author when displaying and to facilitate readers to contact the author;
